Digital Resources

The Starkville-Oktibbeha County Public Library System subscribes to a many digital services available for our patrons to use. Here you will find them in an easy to navigate solution. Some services may only be used in the library on our Internet network (as required by contracts with certain databases) but others will be available anywhere with a valid library card.

Databases

Digital Books / eBooks

  • Freading eBooks
    • Call the library to have an account created for you
  • Hoopla
    • eBooks and eAudiobooks for checkout. The app can be found in the app store by searching for Hoopla. Once downloaded you can search for Starkville-Oktibbeha County Public Library (MS). You will need your library card number and PIN to complete setting up an account with Hoopla.
    • There is a four (4) checkout maximum per month/per user. Occasionally you will not be able to check out again quickly as restrictions are put in place to keep the service affordable for the library system. If you can’t check out a book on a given day, try again the next day in the morning time.
  • Overdrive Mississippi eBook Consortium
    • eBooks and eAudiobooks for checkout. The app can be found in the app store by searching for either Overdrive or Libby. Search for Mississippi eBook Consortium. You will need your library card number and PIN.
  • Tumble Book Library
    • A database of children’s eBooks including teaching kits and materials
  • Tumble Math
    • A database of math eBooks and fun quizzes including resources for teachers and parents
  • Tumble Teen Books
    • A database of young adult literature eBooks
