June 13th: SNAKES! OH MY!

Time: 10 A.M.

The snake man is coming to the library! Join us for a 45 minute presentation on these low-lying reptiles. He will focus on snakes that live in the Deep South, so be careful and come early. This program is open to all who are interested, however, children under 6 years old must have to have a comfy lap to sit in during the presentation.

June 18th: WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A MONSTER?

TIME: 10 A.M.

Who wouldn't want to be a monster? In celebration of Monster's University, this program is set up to teach kids how to be monsters. Come in and learn what it takes to be a top "scarer" and make some not so scary friends along the way. Open to all little monsters and monsters in training!

June 26th: MR. RICHARD'S SING ALONG!

TIME: 1 P.M.

Come one, come all to have some fun singing at the top of your lungs! With sing-along tunes about fish, skunks, cool snakes, and girl pilots, Mr. Richard plays music for hip kids. Open to all!

 July 2nd: LIONS, TIGERS, AND...OWLS?

TIME: 10 A.M.

Join us to welcome Animals Tales of Kentucky back to Starkville. Special animals for kids to interact with will be at the library for this program. All kids under 6 need to bring a lap to sit in.

July 9th: PUPPETS of PRAISE

Time: 10 A.M.

This is your chance this summer to come get a little loud at the library. The Puppets of Praise will be dropping by to share their two favorite things, singing and reading!

They'll be using songs, skits, and maybe even the audience. The show will wrap up with an audience participation song. If you'd like to get "hands in" with puppets, this is the show for you!

July 16th: ARE THERE DINOSAURS AMONG US?

TIME: 10 A.M.

Join us in discovering some fossils! Dr. Kirkland from MSU will give kids a fun filled morning looking for fossils as well as helping them make some of their own!

July 24th: GET YOUR GROOVE ON!

Time: 1 P.M.

For the close out of the Summer Reading Program, the MSU dance troupe "Terpsichore" will do a small performance as well as give a small dance lesson. The name of the troupe comes from the Greek Muse of Dance herself. In Greek mythology, she was one of the nine Muses, ruling over dance and dramatic chorus. Her names comes from the Greek words "delight" and "dance".
